DESCRIPTION:About this Death Cafe \nThe Ann Arbor (Michigan\, USA) Death Cafe was founded in November 2012 by Merilynne Rush and has been meeting monthly since then. In Sept 2024 we moved the online meetings to 1st Saturdays at 11am AND brought back in-person meetings (on 3rd Sat\, 11am at Crazy Wisdom bookstore). The current hosts are Rachel Briggs and Diana Cramer. We usually have betweeen 8-12 people. Merilynne is an end-of-life doula trainer and mentor\, a home funeral and green burial educator and advocate\, and advance care planning facilitator. She holds an MS in Hospice and Palliative Studies and is President of the National End-of-life Doula Alliance. Diana Cramer has been co-hosting Ann Arbor Death Cafe since January\, 2013.  She is a Respecting Choices Advance Care Planner and Home Funeral Guide and sepcialist in end-of-life caring.
